We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy describes what we actually do with personal information, not what a template says.
01
Who we are
This site and our services are operated by Revive Digital, an Australian sole trader (ABN 34 654 631 086), of [Virtual office address to be confirmed], [Western Sydney suburb] NSW [Postcode], Australia. The current business structure has been in effect since 1 January 2026.
Privacy enquiries: hello@revivedigital.com.au or 0401 283 929.
02
What we collect from website visitors
- Contact form details: business name, contact name, mobile number, email address, trade, suburb, and whether you currently have a website. You give us these voluntarily so we can respond to your enquiry.
- Technical and analytics data: pages viewed, referring site, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type. We use privacy-focused analytics and do not build advertising profiles of visitors.
- Server logs: IP address, timestamp and request path, kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
We do not collect sensitive information (health, political, religious or similar) and ask that you do not send it to us.
03
What we collect from clients
When you engage us we collect business details, contact details for the people we deal with, billing information, domain and hosting details, and access credentials or authorisations needed to perform the service.
04
Our clients' customers: SMS review requests
This is the part most privacy policies gloss over, so we will be specific. As part of our review generation service we process personal information belonging to our clients' customers — typically a first name and a mobile number, and sometimes a job reference or completion date.
- That information is supplied to us by our client, usually from their job management or invoicing software.
- We use it for one purpose only: to send a review request by SMS on our client's behalf, and to send at most one polite reminder if there is no response.
- We do not use it for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not add it to any list of our own.
- Every customer receives the same request. We do not filter, screen or gate requests based on how satisfied a customer appears to be.
- In this handling, our client is the business that decides how the information is used; we handle it on their instructions.
Every message identifies the business sending it and includes opt-out instructions — see section 9.
05
Google Business Profile access
We access and manage our clients' Google Business Profile data under authorisation, as an appointed manager on the profile. The client remains the owner at all times. We never take ownership of a profile.
In that role we may see and act on business information, posts, photos, messages, questions, reviews, reviewer display names and profile performance data. We use this solely to run the service the client has engaged us for. Our access is granted by the client and can be removed by the client at any time from within their Google account. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google's applicable policies, including any limited use requirements.
06
How we use personal information
- To respond to enquiries and prepare proposals.
- To deliver the services we have been engaged to provide, including profile management, review requests, rank tracking and website work.
- To send review request SMS messages on a client's behalf.
- To produce monthly reports for the client.
- To invoice, keep tax records, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it to anyone overseas for their own marketing purposes.
07
Who we disclose it to
We use third-party service providers to run the business. Each only receives what it needs to perform its function:
- Supabase — Database and file storage
- Enquiries, client records and review request records are stored in Supabase infrastructure.
- SMS gateway providers — Message delivery
- A customer's first name and mobile number are passed to an SMS provider solely to deliver a review request on our client's behalf.
- Google — Google Business Profile and review data
- We access and manage our clients' Google Business Profile data as an appointed manager, and use Google services for profile posts, review replies and performance data.
- Search data providers — Rank tracking
- Business names, categories and geographic coordinates (not personal contact details) are sent to search data providers to measure map rankings across a service area.
- Website hosting and analytics providers — Serving the site and measuring traffic
- Hosting providers process server logs. Privacy-focused analytics measure page views and referrers.
- Email and accounting providers — Correspondence and invoicing
- Used to communicate with you and to issue and record invoices.
Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia (for example in the United States or the European Union). Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider handles the information consistently with the APPs. We may also disclose information where required by law.
08
Storage, security and how long we keep it
Enquiries, client records and review request records are held in Supabase infrastructure, with access restricted to accounts that need it and protected by strong authentication. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by the platform. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the number of people and systems touching personal information deliberately small.
- Website enquiries: kept for 24 months from the last contact with you.
- Customer names and mobile numbers used for review requests: kept for 90 days after the review request is sent, unless the client instructs us to remove it sooner.
- Client records and invoices: kept for 7 years after the engagement ends, as required for Australian tax records.
- Analytics data: retained for 14 months.
When information is no longer needed we delete it or de-identify it. Aggregate, non-identifying statistics may be kept indefinitely.
09
Opting out of SMS
Every review request SMS includes a way to opt out — reply STOP to the message. Opting out is immediate and permanent for that business: the number is added to a do-not-contact list and no further review requests are sent to it.
You can also email hello@revivedigital.com.au with the mobile number and the business you dealt with, and we will remove it.
10
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@revivedigital.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. Access is free; if a request is unusually large we will tell you about any cost before proceeding.
If the information was given to us by one of our clients (for example, because you were their customer), we will normally refer your request to that business, since it is their record — and we will tell you who they are.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, email hello@revivedigital.com.au with the details. We will acknowledge within 5 business days and give you a written response within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to run the site and to measure traffic in aggregate. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work.

Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The effective date, last updated date and version shown at the top of this page always reflect the current document. Material changes affecting existing clients will also be notified by email.
